Job summary

The role handles patient calls, screens inquiries, and ensures accurate entry of demographics and insurance data in the electronic system. You will verify information, obtain authorizations when needed, and maintain orderly front-desk operations.

The position requires excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and a customer-service mindset to support clinical teams across the campus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephone promptly, ideally by the third ring and routes calls to the correct department.
• Accurately enters patient demographics and insurance information into the system.
• Verifies insurance details, collects referrals and authorizations.
• Ensures forms are completed correctly by patients and documents missing information.
• Receives, sorts and distributes mail; assists with appointment scheduling.
• Handles daily receipts and cash deposits; maintains petty cash as needed.
