Qualifications

• Proficiency in medical billing/coding and understanding of patient data privacy.
• Knowledge of state/federal regulations including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Competent with common PC applications (Internet, Email, MS Office).
• Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate staff.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and manage the reception area with a focus on service quality.
• Collect registration data, insurance information, and co-pays; verify information.
• Enter and update patient data accurately in the system; ensure data integrity.
• Balance daily charges and safeguard funds; manage patient charts and referrals.
• Assist staff and schedule provider referrals; maintain lobby cleanliness and supplies.
