Job summary

Paylocity seeks a patient service specialist to manage front office operations in our clinic lobby. You will greet patients, collect registrations, verify insurance, and handle co-pays while safeguarding patient confidentiality.

You will ensure lobby area stays clean and stocked, coordinate referrals, and assist staff to maintain efficient patient flow. You will enter data accurately, support scheduling, and uphold HIPAA and privacy guidelines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Understanding of medical coding and billing.
• Competent with MS Office and basic PC tools.
• Must obtain and maintain current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a polite, prompt, and helpful manner; ensure smooth patient flow.
• Verify insurance, collect co-pays/coinsurance, and enter/update patient information.
• Enter patient data into the computer system accurately.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and patient information security.
• Balance daily charges and safeguard money received.
• Manage patient charts, referrals, and lobby communications; assist staff as needed.
