Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Patient Service Representative I to provide excellent customer service and guide patients through intake and checkout, including registration and scheduling appointments.

You will greet patients, collect co-pays and balances, verify insurance, scan records, and coordinate with front desk and clinical staff to ensure a seamless patient experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems, strong communication, and confidentiality are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college coursework preferred.
• Experience in customer service, ideally in a medical setting.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors at the front desk, in person or by phone.
• Register new patients and update demographics and insurance information.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances; schedule appointments.
• Verify insurance information and coordinate referrals/authorizations when required.
• Maintain organized front desk and accurate medical records.
