Qualifications

• One year of receptionist or clerical experience in healthcare.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT codes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; basic Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephones promptly and courteously; routes calls to appropriate area or person.
• Schedules and cancels appointments and outpatient tests per CH policy.
• Performs patient check-in/check-out; verifies demographics and insurance information.
• Provides patient privacy per HIPAA guidelines and informs patients of schedule delays.
• Collects co-pays and balances; refers questions to CBO staff as needed.
• Processes referrals and authorizations, and supports day-end reconciliations.
