Job summary

Now Optics is seeking a Doctor’s Technician to enhance the patient experience at our on-site Stanton Optical store. You will provide outstanding customer service, facilitate sales, and collaborate closely with our clinical services team to ensure a smooth patient flow.

You will greet patients, perform pre-tests and basic eye-care assessments, and help bridge the gap between retail and clinical staff while maintaining brand standards and delivering on-time eyewear deliveries.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or advanced certification beyond a high school diploma; or currently enrolled in a comparable program.
• 2+ years of experience delivering outstanding customer service to patients and/or customers.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people.
• Active listening, building rapport, and empathizing with patients.
• Problem solving to address potential patients’ concerns or objections.
• Collaborative spirit with respectful, cordial relationships with team and patients.
• Results-driven with ability to multitask and adapt to changing needs in a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and customers entering the store; identify needs and facilitate sales.
• Foster a strong partnership between retail and professional services.
• Schedule and confirm appointments; enter patient history and perform pre-tests and tests.
• Assist management with patient concerns and communicate status of orders.
• Maintain brand standards with housekeeping duties when needed.
• Prepare and edge lenses; ensure orders are delivered accurately and on time.
• Monitor lab area issues and report equipment malfunctions or order problems.
• Track delivery times to meet promises (Now Service, Ready When Promised).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
