Job summary

Atrius Health, part of Optum, seeks a Patient Check-In Representative to greet patients, perform health screening, and verify demographics and insurance in the Practice Management System. You will ensure forms are completed and direct patients to the appropriate service lines, supporting a smooth arrival for each appointment.

Under supervision, you will manage payment collection, post payments, and assist with end-of-day cash reconciliation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• 1+ years of administrative experience in a business setting with direct patient or customer service delivery.
• Beginner level of computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and perform health screening, directing to service lines per standards.
• Verify demographics and insurance in the Practice Management System; update as needed.
• Collect payments, co-payments and balances; post payments to accounts.
• Complete end-of-day cash reconciliation and related cash-handling procedures.
• Enter referral information when applicable and ensure necessary forms are signed.
