Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to gather patient medical information and support providers in decision-making. MAs report to the Practice Manager or Center Operations Specialist and must be flexible, energetic, and detail-oriented to build relationships with members.

Responsibilities include patient rooming, essential screenings, vitals, vaccinations, specimen collection, EMR documentation, care team participation, and coordinating with external providers.

Qualifikationen

• State or national certification or graduation from an accredited medical assistant course.
• 1 year experience as a medical assistant
• CPR or BLS Certification
• Electronic Medical Record experience
• Computer skills: navigate multiple programs (Gmail, MS Word/Google Docs, Excel)
• Proficiency in non-English languages as required by center demographics
• US work authorization

Aufgaben

• Ensure efficient patient flow: room patients, take vital signs, screenings, med reviews.
• Inventory and stock exam rooms.
• Respond to patient requests for telephonic support (lab results, records).
• May administer vaccinations and point of care tests per state regulations.
• Import documents into EMR.
• Participate in care team meetings; discuss patient care and clinic operations.
• Process orders for durable medical equipment.
• Request medical records from external providers.
• Maintain infection control and center lab quality checks.
• Other duties as assigned
