Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to gather essential medical information, support providers, and ensure accurate data in the EMR. You will help with screenings, vaccinations, note-taking, and coordinating care with the team to deliver exceptional patient experiences.

Ideal candidates have state or national MA certification or completion of an accredited MA program, CPR/BLS, and EMR experience, with strong communication and problem‑solving skills. US work authorization required.

• Proficiency with EMR systems and patient data entry.

Aufgaben

• Ensure efficient patient flow: room patients, record vital signs and complete screenings.
• Inventory supplies and stock exam rooms.
• Respond to patient requests for telephonic support (lab results, records).
• Administer vaccinations and point-of-care tests (A1C, spirometry, EKGs, blood draws).
• Import required documents into EMR via scanning or PDF upload.
• Participate in care team meetings to discuss patient care and clinic operations.
• Process orders for durable medical equipment.
• Request medical records from external providers as needed.
