Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers with accurate patient information and efficient clinic operations. You will help obtain vital signs, screenings, vaccinations when permitted, and maintain EMR data quality across patient records.

The role emphasizes high-quality patient interactions, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols, with opportunities for growth in a rapidly expanding network of centers.

Formación

• State or national certification (as required by state)
• 1 year experience as a medical assistant
• CPR or BLS Certification
• Electronic Medical Record experience
• Computer skills: navigate multiple programs (Gmail, Word/Docs, Excel)
• Proficiency in non-English languages as required by the center's demographics
• US work authorization

Responsabilidades

• Ensure an efficient patient flow; room patients in a timely manner, complete vital signs, complete required screenings and complete medication reviews
• Inventory supplies and stock exam rooms
• Respond to patient requests for telephonic support (Lab results, faxing records to specialists, etc)
• Administer vaccinations and point-of-care tests when allowed by state regulations (A1C, spirometry, EKGs, blood draws, etc)
• Import required documents into EMR via scanning or PDF upload
• Participate in care team meetings to discuss patient care and clinic operations
• Process orders for durable medical equipment
• Request medical records from external providers as required by the provider
• Conduct routine quality control checks including infection control measures, equipment checks, and expired medication/supplies management
• Other duties as assigned

Conocimientos

Medical Assistant Certification

1 year MA experience

CPR or BLS Certification

EMR experience

Computer literacy

Non-English language proficiency

US work authorization
