Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to gather patient information, support providers, and help deliver a compassionate, coordinated care experience. You will perform screenings, collect vital signs, and assist with point-of-care tests and vaccinations.

You'll work with the care team to ensure accurate EMR documentation, coordinate tests and referrals, and maintain safety and quality standards. State or national MA certification, CPR/BLS, and US work authorization are required;

Qualifications

• State or national certification or completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
• Minimum 1 year of medical assistant experience.
• CPR or BLS certification required.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records systems.
• Proficient in basic computer tools and multiple programs.
• Ability to communicate in non-English languages as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow and timely rooming with vitals and screenings.
• Perform point-of-care tests and administer vaccines as allowed.
• Import documents into EMR and coordinate with care team.
• Respond to patient requests and support lab result communications.
• Assist in maintaining clinic operations and supplies.
