Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED, homeschool equivalency, or partial/full post-secondary education).
• Two years of secretarial/office, college/vocational training or patient care.
• Prior health care experience and/or medical terminology preferred.
• BLS – Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt and personalized service to all patients; responds to nurse calls and meets patient needs.
• Maintains unit workflow and coordinates with Facilities Management; serves as in-house courier.
• Communicates with health care team; escalates issues to staff or leadership as needed.
• Interacts with patients and families using positive language and customer service principles.
