Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Patient Care Assistant/Unit Administrative Assistant (PCA/UAA) to support the interprofessional team in delivering high quality, cost-effective care. This role provides basic nursing assistant tasks under supervision, assists with ADLs, and coordinates with physicians for patient care and bed management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 18 months CNA/CMA/PCA experience requested.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming calls for the unit and transfers as appropriate.
• Greets patients and visitors, provides directions and information.
• Corresponds with physicians and office staff, coordinating care.
• Performs basic ADL tasks under licensed nurse supervision.
• Maintains unit workflow and supports multiple priorities.
