Job summary

Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital is seeking compassionate healthcare support professionals to join our team as CNA/CMA/PCA. You will assist with daily patient care, communicate with patients and families, and support unit operations under supervision of licensed staff.

Qualifications

• Eighteen months of CNA, CMA or PCA experience.
• One year of secretarial/office training or six months of internal cross-training within Houston Methodist.
• Prior health care experience and/or medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming calls and transfers; greets patients and visitors; supports through throughput improvements.
• Interacts with patients, families and staff in a respectful, professional manner; communicates clearly with the interprofessional team.
• Contributes towards improving department scores for patient engagement and satisfaction.
• Performs direct patient care activities under RN direction, documenting care and coordinating with other units.
