Ascension Saint Thomas West in Nashville, TN seeks a Full-Time Night shift caregiver to provide patient support in the Pulmonary Post Thoracic Surgery department. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, taking vital signs, and collaborating with nursing staff.

Training in phlebotomy may be provided; BLS certification is required within 30 days. High School diploma or equivalent is needed, with Nurse Aide preferred.

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire/date required; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Provide support and care for patients with a wide-array of diagnoses.

• Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.

• Take Vital Signs during your shift and report findings to nursing staff.

• Train in Phlebotomy to be able to assist nursing staff when the need arises.

• Contribute to the positive and encouraging physical, mental and emotional support for each patient.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Nurse Aide preferred.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
