Job summary

Ascension is seeking a dedicated nursing assistant for the Saint Thomas West facility in Nashville, TN. The role focuses on aiding movement, patient care, documentation, and maintaining a clean, safe patient environment on a Cardiac Transplant LVAD unit.

The position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and preferred Nurse Aide, with BLS within 1 month of hire. It offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within Ascension.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date (AHA or Red Cross accepted).
• Nurse Aide preferred.
• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required. Note: licensure/certification can substitute education or experience.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Aide preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
