Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Tucson Northwest is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for PRN/Per Diem day shift. You will provide essential bedside care, assist with bathing, feeding and mobility, and support the healthcare team.

The role requires a high school diploma or 3+ years in care, CNA experience and BLS within 90 days. Pay is $24.50 per hour plus weekend differential; part-time schedule includes orientation and potential for advancement. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years of related experience.
• Hospital experience as nursing assistant/CNA or related field (MA, RN student).
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing using basin-less products, oral hygiene, feeding and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with transfer equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; restock supplies as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
