Qualifications

• BLS required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing using basin-less products, oral hygiene, feeding, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with moving patients on stretchers/wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; monitor unit stock levels.

Position: Patient Care Technician (PCT)

Location: Select Specialty Hospital Tucson Northwest

Schedule: Full-Time Day Shift, 12-Hour ShiftsCompensation: $19.32 - $24.50 per hour, based on years of experience

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
