Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for Select Specialty Hospital Tucson Northwest. This PRN/Per Diem, day-shift role pays $24.50 per hour with weekend differential and provides orientation and potential for future opportunities.

Responsibilities include patient bathing, rounds, patient transport, and maintaining clean, stocked patient rooms. Qualifications require a high school diploma or GED, hospital experience as a nursing assistant or related field, and BLS within 90

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist movers with stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair

• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
