Banner Rehabilitation Hospital - TucsonIn Partnership with Select Medical is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for per diem, 12-hour day or night shifts (7:00-7:00). Compensation starts at $24.50 per hour with possible shift differentials in a rehabilitation hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Hospital experience as a patient care technician, nursing assistant, or related field preferred.
• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs routine patient care tasks and documents care.
• Transports patients to treatment areas and assists with transfers.
• Performs dressing, showering, bathing, and feeding as needed.
• Responds to patient lights and completes hourly rounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician performs routine tasks in patient care/assistance and documentation of care provided.
• Transports patients to and from various treatment areas when necessary; assists in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Performs services for the patient involving dressing, showering, bathing and oral feeding.
• Answers patient lights and performs services in a timely manner that adds to the physical well-being of the patient. Participates in patient turning/repositioning, performs purposeful hourly rounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Requires hospital experience as a patient care technician, nursing assistant or experience in a related field such as a medical assistant or as an actively enrolled nursing student.
• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment required.
