Job summary

Banner Rehabilitation Hospital - Tucson is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) on a Per Diem 12-hour shift schedule, with Day or Night options (7:00-7:00). Compensation starts at $24.50 per hour plus shift differentials for eligible positions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Requires hospital experience as a patient care technician, nursing assistant or related field such as a medical assistant or actively enrolled nursing student.
• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from various treatment areas when necessary; assists in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Performs services for the patient involving dressing, showering, bathing and oral feeding.
• Answers patient lights and performs services in a timely manner that adds to the physical well-being of the patient. Participates in patient turning/repositioning, performs purposeful hourly rounds.
• Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician performs routine tasks in patient care/assistance and documentation of care provided.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
