Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Tucson Northwest is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for a full-time day shift. Located in Tucson, AZ, the role focuses on compassionate patient care, including bathing, mobility assistance, and hourly rounds.

You will work in a critical illness recovery hospital environment that supports professional growth and clinical advancement. Eligible candidates have a high school diploma or GED and must obtain BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience (3+ years).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Experience as a nursing assistant or related healthcare role.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient bathing using basin-less techniques and assist with oral care.
• Assist with hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment areas and assist with moving patients.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Assist in stocking supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Full-Time Day Shift, 12-Hour ShiftsCompensation: $19.32 - $24.50 per hour, based on years of experience

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
