Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Patient Care Technician to support patient care across units under RN supervision. You will perform basic clinical tasks, monitor vitals, assist with daily living activities, and communicate with the care team to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualified applicants have a high school credential and a PCT/MA/CNA program or apprenticeship, with BLS within 60 days. The role includes strong benefits and growth opportunities within the network.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Completion of one of: CNA/MA/PCT program or approved nursing program or HMH PCT Apprenticeship; apprenticeship option also possible.
Ability to learn quickly, work in a team, and deliver patient-focused care.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care based on age, safety, and education needs.
Obtain vitals and document findings for RN review.
Assist with activities of daily living and patient transport as needed.
Support interdisciplinary care planning from admission to discharge.
Maintain equipment readiness and safety in unit.
