Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a PCT, you will work under RN supervision to deliver direct and indirect patient care across a variety of units.

You will perform phlebotomy, EKGs, vital signs, specimen collection, and assist with activities of daily living while focusing on patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction. A strong team approach, willingness to learn, and completion of an approved PCT/CNA/MA program or HMH

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of one of the following - PCT/CNA/MA program or HMH PCT Apprenticeship Program or equivalent background.
• Willingness to learn quickly and adapt in a dynamic hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on age and criteria, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Communicate with nursing staff about patient status and care.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and vital signs as directed.
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient transportation.
• Support patient safety initiatives and quality improvement activities.
