Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN is seeking a PRN Telemetry Nurse Aide to support patient care on the telemetry floor. You will obtain vitals, assist with activities of daily living, and collaborate with nursing staff to ensure safe, compassionate care.

This role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, BLS within 30 days, and Nurse Aide certification is preferred. We offer a supportive environment within a renowned Catholic health system with a focus on growth and service.

Qualifications

• Licensure/certification required: BLS Provider within 1 month of hire or transfer date; Nurse Aide preferred.
• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
• Required licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and records vital signs, accurately charting patient data and promptly reporting abnormal findings.
• Monitors and documents fluid intake and output, supporting safe patient care and clinical decision-making.
• Performs blood draws as trained, following proper phlebotomy techniques and safety protocols.
• Provides direct patient care, including rounding with patients and assisting with activities of daily living to support comfort and mobility.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Aide preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
