Job summary

Ascension in Nashville, TN seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse for Telemetry on the night shift. You will deliver compassionate, evidence-based care, monitor patients, and coordinate with physicians and advanced practice providers to ensure exemplary outcomes.

The role requires Tennessee RN licensure or compact state recognition, and a BLS certification within 1 month of hire. A Diploma in Nursing is required, with 6+ months of acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire or transfer date.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed by Tennessee Board of Nursing or multi-state Compact State license before hire date.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of compassionate, evidence-based nursing care with safety standards.
• Monitor real-time patient status and communicate with care team.
• Coordinate care across hospitalists, cardiologists and NPs for high-quality patient experience.
• Perform advanced clinical skills including cardiac drip titration and ACLS.
• Manage discharge process to ensure clear, confident transition for patients and families.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Lead the delivery of compassionate, evidence-based nursing care, ensuring every intervention aligns with the highest safety standards and organizational protocols.
• Monitor and communicate real-time patient status to the care team, enabling swift, life-saving clinical decisions.
• Coordinate care efforts across multiple specialties, acting as the central hub between hospitalists, cardiologists, and NPs to provide a seamless, high-quality patient experience.
• Execute advanced clinical skills, including cardiac drip titration and ACLS protocols, to provide expert-level support for our most high-acuity patients.
• Manage the full discharge process, ensuring patients and families transition from the unit with clarity and confidence.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

What additional preferences we're seeking

• 6+ months of acute care nursing experience
