Job summary

NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital on the NYU Langone Health campus is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the 11th Floor. This part-time days role supports nurses in patient care, safety, comfort, and unit operations, including data collection, supply management, and patient assistance.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, PCT or CNA certification, and BLS, with hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of PCT program with hospital experience preferred.
• CNA background with EKG & Phlebotomy coursework helpful.
• BLS/CPR certification required on entry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care tasks under RN supervision.
• Support unit safety, comfort, and environment.
• Collect data for quality improvement and patient satisfaction.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge procedures.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and unit cleanliness.
