Job summary

NYU Langone Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician/Senior Nursing Attendant for the TH 16E Medicine Unit, Day Shift (37.5 hours). You will assist the nurse in patient care, maintain unit safety, and support data collection for quality improvement while delivering compassionate care.

Strong communication with patients and families is essential. Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent, PCT or CNA with EKG/Phlebotomy training, and CPR/BLS certification on entry.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• PCT program graduate or CNA with EKG & Phlebotomy training is preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification is required on entry.

Responsibilities

• Assist the nurse in patient care tasks and ensure safe, compassionate care.
• Maintain supplies, equipment and the patient environment.
• Support unit Quality and Performance Improvement data collection.
• Communicate patient needs and concerns to the nurse in charge.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges as directed.
