Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Senior Nursing Attendant for Unit 3600 Day Shift in Brooklyn. The role assists professional nurses in patient care, ensuring safe, compassionate support and contributing to a healing hospital environment.

Responsibilities include supporting data collection for quality improvement, maintaining confidentiality, and aiding in admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed. Training includes phlebotomy and ECG duties under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a PCT program w/ at least 6 months hospital experience OR CNA graduate plus EKG & Phlebotomy course and PCT certification eligible + 6 months hospital experience.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required on entry.
• Must complete PCT online program within 3 months of hire.

• Performs tasks including phlebotomy, fingersticks for glucose, and electrocardiograms.
