Job summary

NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital on the 11th floor invites a dedicated Patient Care Technician to join the night shift on a part-time basis. The role supports registered nurses by performing assigned patient care tasks, ensuring safety and comfort, and upholding core hospital values in a dynamic orthopedic environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a PCT program with at least 6 months hospital experience OR CNA with EKG & Phlebotomy course and PCT certification eligible plus 6 months hospital experience.
• PCT Certification through NHA with at least 6 months hospital experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assists the professional nurse in patient care tasks and supports unit operations.
• Maintains patient safety, privacy, dignity and comfort; observes and reports changes to the nurse.
• Performs phlebotomy, fingersticks for glucose, and ECGs as assigned.
• Supports admission, transfer, and discharge procedures and maintains a clean, safe unit.
