Job summary

Responsibilities include assisting clinicians, documenting patient information, and providing basic care, while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Requires a High school diploma, NAI I certification, and BLS; English fluency and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in verbal and written English.
• Capable of developing computer skills if not proficient.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procedures, and procures equipment/supplies.
• Reviews patient care documentation and reports significant changes to RN or physician.
• Performs clerical tasks: organize workload, greet visitors, review and revise orders, answer calls, transcribe orders, maintain medical records, and perform PI audits and data entry.
• Provides clerical support including inventory, safety checks, and maintenance of unit desk area.
• Provides clinical support: clean work area, handle equipment, troubleshoot software/hardware, change linens, check inventory, transport patients/specimens, orient new staff/students.
• Provides direct personal care per plan of care: bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulation, record vital signs, collect specimens, wound care, ROM, etc.
