Northwell Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform patient care under direct supervision of physicians and nurses. The role includes preparing patients for tests, recording diagnostic results, and assisting in organizing care and filing reports in the medical record.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a Medical Assistant training certificate or relevant experience. Preferred is experience with Epic and gynecology-related procedures.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent, required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program with certificate OR 1-3 years' experience as a medical assistant, EMT or CNA with certificate OR Successful completion of the Northwell Health Medical Assistant training program.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborates with health care team to coordinate patient care and document visit details.
• Performs vital signs, measurements, and screening procedures and records findings.
• Collects specimens and assists in specimen handling per protocol.
• Performs daily controls and calibration of lab equipment and reports issues.
• Administers ECG and phlebotomy per provider orders, follows infection control standards.
• Assists physicians and nurses with procedures and examinations following protocols.
• Maintains clean examination rooms and stocks supplies; handles chart prep and basic clerical tasks.
• Performs related duties as required and ensures efficient patient flow.
