Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical Assistant training program with certificate or 1-3 years experience as MA/EMT/CNA, or completion of Northwell Health MA training program.
• Salary details described as a good faith range and subject to adjustment based on location, service line, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with health care team to coordinate and document patient care.
• Performs vital signs, measurements, and screening procedures and documents findings.
• Collects specimens and assists with laboratory tests per standard procedures.
• Performs daily controls and calibration of laboratory equipment and reports issues to supervisor.
• Conducts electrocardiograms and phlebotomy per provider orders with infection control practices.
• Assists physicians and nurses with procedures (e.g., lumbar puncture, pelvic exam) per protocols.
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of examination rooms and stocks supplies; logs equipment checks.
• Provides essential clerical support to ensure efficient patient flow and accurate medical records.
