Millennium Physician Group is seeking a Patient Care Specialist to join our Florida offices. You will handle front-desk tasks, register patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect payments, and maintain accurate documentation in the EHR.

This role supports patient flow and collaborates with the care team to ensure a smooth, compliant patient experience. The role emphasizes HIPAA adherence, excellent customer service, and adaptability in a fast-paced primary care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in healthcare office preferred.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Basic knowledge of EHR and Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets, registers, and checks in patients with current demographic and insurance info.
• Collects copayments and reconciles cash.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and documents authorizations.
• Explain check-in, insurance requirements, and payment expectations.
• Schedules appointments and coordinates with clinical staff.
• Routes calls and processes referrals and medical record releases.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and safeguards patient information.
• Performs clerical tasks including filing, scanning, and uploading records.
