The PSR will manage the schedule, assist callers and visitors, and ensure seamless office operations. Proficiency in medical terminology and hospital software is valued; strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Required: 1-2 Years experience in healthcare setting.
• Preferred: 3-5 years experience in related field or specialty practice.
• Must be able to type a minimum of 40 wpm, with 55 wpm preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language clearly.
• Must be able to work independently and make independent decisions when warranted.
• Must communicate effectively with staff, patients, and public.
• Other requirements: data entry accuracy, teamwork, ability to handle multiple phone lines.

Responsibilities

• The PSR manages the physician schedule and assists callers and visitors to the office.
• Handles patient registration, charge entry, and end-of-day reconciliation; collects payments from patients.
• Obtains referrals and surgical authorizations as needed.
• Provides excellent customer service with professionalism and proficiency.
• Cross-trained to fill in for other team members as needed.
