Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Experience as check-in specialist is recommended but not required.
• Knowledge of insurance guidelines and entry is preferred.
• Experience in financial collections is recommended but not required.
• Ability to handle high patient volumes and stay composed under pressure.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients; answer phones; patient check-in, registration and checkout; insurance verification; appointment scheduling; prepare and review charts for appointments; and processing orders.
• Maintain open communication with staff and providers regarding patient needs.
• Maintain a pleasant and cooperative demeanor while performing duties.
• Welcome patients and visitors by greeting them and handling inquiries, in person or on the phone.
• Schedule appointments to optimize patient satisfaction and provider time.
• Notify providers of patient arrivals and ensure service delivery stays on schedule.
