Responsibilities include managing daily patient and physician scheduling, utilizing EPIC EMR for messaging, verifying patient information, and ensuring accuracy of insurance data while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years experience in customer service preferred.
• Medical office experience and scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and direct questions via warm transfer or EPIC messaging.
• Perform phone system functions and respond courteously to patients, guardians, and staff.
• Manage daily patient and physician scheduling and optimize room utilization.
• Verify and update patient information per Medicare, state, and federal guidelines; stay updated on insurance rules.
• Manage EPIC EMR queues, verify referrals, and handle pre-certifications as appropriate.
• Type, mail, and fax correspondence; prepare patient materials; order office supplies; maintain a clean work area.
