Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required; annual registration competency exam may be required.
• Demonstrated customer service ability to interact with the public, staff and patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets and arrives patients; secures signatures for all required documentation; follows CHMG policies and procedures.
• Obtains and verifies insurance and demographic information; makes collection attempts and educates on resources.
• Reconciles work lists and reports.
• Facilitates patient care between primary, specialty, and ancillary services.
• Welcomes and coordinates intake of patient information for new and existing patients; maintains medical records.
• Processes and routes all incoming calls or requests and responds to inquiries.
• Schedules, confirms or reschedules patient appointments; works Televox; promotes Patient Connect enrollment.
• Distributes mail, faxes and electronic desktops; educates patients on form completion.
• Supports a culture of a patient-centered medical home; works independently and in teams on projects.
• Coordinates multiple aspects of projects, events and other complex activities.
