AEG is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to manage front desk operations, patient flow, and schedule optimization. You will support the care team and ensure a high-quality patient experience through proactive communication and efficient scheduling.

The role focuses on greeting patients, handling inquiries, verifying insurance, and maintaining accurate EMR records to support smooth visits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn EMR.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for patient service.
• Collaborative team player with cross-functional coordination.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and serve as primary contact for patient interactions.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage emails professionally.
• Schedule patient appointments and optimize provider schedules.
• Confirm appointments and remind patients to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and enter patient data in EMR.
• Explain coverage and patient financial responsibility.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation ahead of visits.
• Collect charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR.
• Run reports to ensure charges are up to date.
• Coordinate with clinical and optical teams for smooth transitions.
• Support retention through recall and reactivation outreach.
