Job summary

AEG is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to support front desk operations, patient flow, and care-team coordination on-site in Missouri. The role emphasizes proactive scheduling, clear communication, insurance verification, and accurate EMR data entry to ensure a smooth, high-quality patient experience.

You will greet patients, handle calls and emails, schedule visits, confirm appointments, and help with billing and follow-ups.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication focused on patients.
• Ability to maintain patient and practice confidentiality.
• Comfort learning practice management systems (EMR).
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and serve as the primary contact for interactions.
• Answer calls and manage emails in a timely, professional manner.
• Schedule appointments and optimize provider calendars.
• Confirm appointments and reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and patient demographics in EMR.
• Explain coverage and patient financial responsibility.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation in advance.
• Process charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR.
• Run reports to ensure billing is up-to-date.
• Monitor patient flow and adjust schedules as needed.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to patients.
• Coordinate with clinical and optical teams for continuity of care.
• Support recall and retention through follow-up and reminders.
• Maintain an organized, patient-ready front office.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
