• Responds to patient calls providing general information and education.
• Greets patients arriving for appointments, assists with forms and use of technology.
• Assesses needs of patients without appointments and processes requests for prescriptions, forms, or scheduling.
• Reviews schedules daily to ensure full booking and patient needs are met.
• Completes follow-up tasks after visits, such as scheduling labs or external procedures.
• Receives calls from providers and patients, assesses needs and processes requests.
• Monitors messages and faxes to determine proper action and timeliness.
• Completes authorizations and pre-certifications for external and stat procedures.
• Reviews provider schedules to identify follow-ups and no-shows.
• Supports staff in addressing patient questions or concerns and provides guidance.
• Monitors waiting room and reports concerns; directs tasks to appropriate staff.
• Acts as liaison between primary care physicians and specialists.
• Monitors referral work queues and processes new referrals.
• Implements policies to improve referral management and service delivery.
• Delivers mail within the department and conducts routine system checks.
