Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year experience in a provider office.
• Knowledge of insurance benefit programs and medical terminology.
• Ability to interact effectively with providers, staff, patients and insurance representatives.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Prior computer experience; excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Responds to patient calls with general information and education.
• Greets patients and assists with forms and use of technology; communicates delays to patients.
• Assesses patient needs and processes requests for prescriptions, forms or appointments.
• Reviews daily schedules and reschedules to keep patients fully booked.
• Ensures follow-up needs are completed as directed by After Visit Summary.
