Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• AND two years of experience in the program specialty.
• OR equivalent education/experience.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute minimum qualifications for some roles unless a license or certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient’s entry into and through the health care system related to disability claims.
• Coordinate and complete paperwork for medically-required absences or work restrictions post-surgery.
• Advocate for patients during clinic sessions and coordinate care with physicians.
• Facilitate efficient patient care by coordinating services with the medical visit.
• Create clinic-specific policies or workflows, adapting to state/payor regulations.
• Interview patients to determine concerns and needs at reappointments.
• Ensure outcomes of treatment recommendations are conveyed to outside consultants.
• Complete forms and billing documentation; report on disability claim statistics and revenue.
• Manage FMLA cases and budget monitoring including L&I billing.
• Act as a resource to physicians, RNs and care team on disability claim needs.
