Job summary

The Harborview Cardiology clinic at University of Washington is seeking a Program Coordinator/Scheduler to triage medical information, schedule post-surgery procedures, and coordinate patient appointments with physicians and staff. The position is full-time (100% FTE) for one year with no telework, offering a stable schedule Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent
• Two years of experience in the program specialty

Responsibilities

• Triage medical information in a cardiology specialty
• Schedule post-surgery diagnostic procedures and follow-up patient appointments
• Act as a liaison between patients, physicians, and outside agencies to coordinate appointments and admissions
• Coordinate anesthesia-related scheduling and pre-admission tests
• Enter appointment information into online system
• Coordinate pre-admission tests and ensure pre-anesthesia workups are completed
• Coordinate transfer of patients from outside hospitals to UW Medicine with physicians and staff
