Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a front desk / patient services coordinator to answer calls, schedule patient visits, and coordinate information between physicians, patients, and clinical teams. You will verify demographic and financial data to ensure accurate patient identification and maximize reimbursements for billable services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience required; medical office experience and 1 year scheduling preferred.
• Pass skills assessment tests; strong verbal and social skills; proficient computer use with EMR and PM systems; knowledge of HIPAA privacy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls, schedule appointments, and route questions via warm transfer or EPIC EMR messaging to the appropriate staff.
• Perform phone system functions and respond courteously to patients and others.
• Manage daily patient and physician scheduling to optimize satisfaction and room utilization.
• Verify referrals and complete pre-certifications as appropriate; update patient information as required by regulations.
• Work with EPIC EMR queues; prepare and send correspondence (letters, forms, etc.).
• Prepare patient materials and handouts; order office supplies and maintain a clean work area.
• Other duties as assigned.
