Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is hiring a Patient Care Coordinator I to act as a professional liaison for patients and families, and to manage complex scheduling requests across multiple systems. You will ensure continuity of care, develop trusted patient relationships, and support care transitions within our integrated care teams.

This 1.0 FTE role emphasizes critical thinking, attention to detail, and strong communication to navigate scheduling, insurance, and demographic data

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; ability to organize and prioritize concurrent responsibilities.
• Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Word, email, and data entry in a Windows environment.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to solve patient needs.
• Ability to work under pressure in a healthcare setting and maintain attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Schedule all patient appointments related to treatment and outside consults; coordinate with departments for efficient flow.
• Interact with patients, families, providers, and staff to identify needs and provide information.
• Update patient contact information in the EHR and maintain registration data.
• Communicate scheduling needs to providers, technologists, and nurses; triage requests as needed.
• Assist with training and cross-coverage; support department operations and special projects.
