Qualifications

1+ years of experience in a medical office or patient-facing role.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical scheduling software.
Knowledge of insurance verification, prior authorizations, and medical billing basics.
HIPAA compliance knowledge and commitment to patient confidentiality.
High school diploma or equivalent; medical administration certification a plus.

Responsibilities

Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front-office experience.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments, follow-ups, and referrals.
Verify insurance eligibility, obtain authorizations, and process patient intake documentation.
Coordinate communication between patients, clinical staff, and providers.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records within the EMR/EHR system.
Collect co-pays, explain billing statements, and assist with patient financial inquiries.
Ensure patient satisfaction by addressing concerns and following up on care plans.
