Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support provider-led patient care in a clinical setting. You will prep rooms, gather vital signs, document patient information, and assist with examinations and procedures while following AHN protocols.

The role requires completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent, with certification within 120 days and CPR/clearance requirements. Some travel between locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School / GED or Completion of a Medical Assistant Program.
• Certification training/test within 30 days of hire and certification within 120 days.
• Certification options: NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating patient care under supervision of the health care provider.
• Prepare and room patients and obtain vital signs and patient history.
• Perform back office testing and assist with examinations and procedures.
• Document in the EHR according to established standards.
