Job summary

Key Whitman Eye Center in Arlington, TX is seeking a Patient Care Representative to manage front desk operations and support patient care with a focus on accuracy and hospitality.

You will greet patients, collect data, schedule appointments, maintain EMR records, and coordinate with team to ensure smooth patient flow and exceptional service. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced eye care environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 1-3 years of healthcare reception experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and time management.
• CPR desired, but not preferred.
• HIPAA knowledge and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and assists at the front desk.
• Verifies patient data for accuracy.
• Maintains a highly accountable and inspired work environment.
• Checks patients in and out and schedules appointments.
• Directs patients, vendors, visitors and the general public.
• Maintains accurate documentation in the patients EMR.
• Monitors patient flow and wait times.
• Opens daily patient accounting controls, posts charges and closes controls.
• Schedules future appointments in adherence to policies and procedures.
• Maintains waiting room environment, appearance and patient comfort.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
