Job summary

Healogics Wound Care & Hyperbaric Services LLC is seeking a Patient Navigator to manage front office duties in an outpatient wound care center. You’ll greet patients, schedule visits, verify insurance, and coordinate with providers to support the care continuum.

Requirements include a high school diploma (GED acceptable) and 2+ years of medical office experience, with preferred background in medical coding.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years office administration experience, preferably in a medical setting.
• Prior medical coding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with Center leadership to maximize daily patient census.
• Greets patients and visitors and routes calls to staff.
• Maintains patient communication, scheduling, and reminders.
• Verifies patient insurance and pre-authorizations; enters data in databases.
• Collects and enters charges; reconciles charges and transmits data to providers.
• Assembles and maintains patient charts; supports ancillary testing scheduling.
• Coordinates for patient transportation; maintains office equipment and supplies.
